Kokopelli Origami-Kirigami Wearable | Circus Charmer

A wearable, movable kirigami+origami piece created for a pair project, per the concept of Kokopelli, a fertility god involved in various myths. One such myth is that presides over the reproduction of game and sun-bathing loving animals, our chosen topic focusing on this.

As such, we created the topic: Kokopelli the Circus Owl-Snake Charmer, who wishes to spread awareness of the marvellous sights and sounds of the animals he watches over. Hence, Kokopelli brings forth this circus act for the world to see, and for more people to know about the wonders of his animal friends!

Note: The full presentation is shared here for context, but I only created the stomach piece. Only the research/designs/drawings relating to the stomach and stomach piece has been done by me, while the eye piece was done by my partner in this project.

We were required to make one wearable piece each, but present our pieces together under one concept.
The eye range of motion research and kirigami tessellation drawing was done by my partner in this project.
The above two pages were created by my partner in this pair project.
More pictures of the final product.
